A recent survey states the following interesting facts:
1. 3/4 of those interviewed feel that buying a holiday home has brought their family closer together
2. 2/3 of those interviewed feel less stressed since they have bought their holiday home
3. 1/2 of those interviewed feel their relationship with their partner has improved since buying their holiday home
4. 1/5 have bought a holiday home due to fears over driving abroad and safety in general abroad

Big Green Space Rebranding

Over the past 6 years Big Green Space has grown from manufacturing picnic tables in a back garden to timber lodges and static caravans in a 25,000 sq ft factory in Pembroke Dock.  To better reflect the changing nature of our business, we have rebranded to Polar Lodges.  Our new website address is:

Static caravan build update

 

This photo shows the underside of the static chassis, which has now been ply lined and is awaiting a coat of fibreglass and fireproof resin.  The plywood was fixed to timber battens running lengthways along the chassis.

This plywood lining is the beginnings of the plywood box which will contain the chassis.  The box will then be filled with insulating spray foam to completely encapsulate the chassis.  The lifespan of the caravan will therefore be increased indefinitely, and the U-values achieved will be far better than anything done so far.

Big Green Space contemporary static caravan build

This summer at the Pembrokeshire County Show we will be launching a new static caravan.  Our contemporary design is a massive leap from traditional static caravans.  This week we have taken delivery of the 42ft x 12ft galvinised steel chassis from CLH Trailers in St Clears, and work on the build can now begin in earnest.  As you can see from the photos, this chassis is structurally far superior to the standard static chassis on the market today. Over the next few days we will be encapsulating the chassis with fibreglass and insulating foam.
